My name is Erti, and I’m originally from Taiwan. I’ve been living and working in Paris for 3 years.

Why did you choose to go kitesurfing in Tarifa in a van? What are the main advantages?
In the back of my mind, I’d always had the idea of setting off on an adventure in a converted van. This desire was reinforced by the positive feedback from friends and colleagues, and I couldn’t wait to give it a try myself. Renting a van with Vanbreak and kitesurfing with Freeride is, in my opinion, the perfect match between these two worlds.
The Tarifa kite trip has many advantages. It’s simple in terms of booking and organizing the trip, and reliable for the quality of the van and kitesurfing lessons. The Vanbreak and Freeride teams are great, and were very helpful during my road trip. Their availability made all the difference, especially for a solo traveler, or for any type of traveler for that matter.
Can you describe your kite trip to Tarifa in a VW California Ocean van? What did you learn during this experience?
In my opinion, the Volkswagen combi is one of the best campervans around. It’s designed for maximum comfort and is very functional to use. I really enjoyed the experience.

How were the kitesurfing lessons with Freeride Tarifa?
The lessons with Freeride were great. I’d say the Freeride instructors are like wind wizards. They are very attentive and precise in their advice, to make sure you get the best understanding of kitesurfing, theoretically, technically and practically. I felt very confident and I’m already planning to do another kite trip in a van to Tarifa with them!
